After working alongside a previous client, two members of the company decided to branch out and start their own agency - New Habit Studio. A creative design agency, specialising in motion graphics, graphic design and art direction. Due to our previous work relationship and positive experience with the outcome of my work, they approached me to design and develop their new website. The sole aim of their agency was to create content to impact and inspire across platforms.
I was briefed to design and develop a simple site with regards to its user flow while putting emphasis on the unique branding we designed. The predominant focus of the site was to display their animated portfolio to potential clients in a way they will stand out, driving them to contact the agency for their services. Them being a creative agency, naturally, we wanted to do this in an artistic fashion which would help them get noticed over the competitors in their field.
We wanted to create a completely bespoke site to captivate the business's creative nature so we developed a custom-built HTML site which allowed us to not worry about any limitations on design function and transitions.
The main focus of the website was displaying the wondrous content they create, for this, we designed an landing page which acted almost like a pinboard and ran in a feed-like fashion where they could group their work whilst giving the user insight on each project through small sections of copy per project (in turn helping with their SEO). Through the backend they could add previews of their work anywhere on the landing page allowing them to completely change the look of it as and when they wanted. When the user hovers over one of their design the video plays, allowing the user to interact with their work.
Parallel to building the frontend we developed an easy-to-use backend which allowed the client to make any changes as and when they wanted, whilst having an analytics dashboard and a data collection point for all their enquiries.
